🌿There is very good evidence that plant based diets result in: reduced inflammation, improved insulin sensitivity, reduced blood sugar levels, reduced weight, improved cholesterol, reduced risk of heart disease /stroke/high blood pressure, reduced risk of cancer, and improved longevity
🌿There is also increasing evidence that they improve mood, brain function, emotional stability, and energy levels
🌿Small studies looking at migraine, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and multiple sclerosis also showed improvement of symptoms and inflammatory makers on plant based diets
🌿This is thought to be due to a combination of improved gut health, reduced inflammatory pathways, and alterations in neurotransmitter precursors (ie more 'food' for brain chemicals)
